ADRENAL FATIGUE.

This is being mentioned and discussed in the fibromyalgia forum and it's been something I needed to cover. So hang on and don't lose your collective minds over this but it's not really a medical diagnosis or actual endocrinological problem. It is some concept that some other kind of practitioner made up years ago. So here it is:

FATIGUE is FATIGUE. Period.

IF your adrenals are not putting out enough hormones then neither are your ovaries or testicles or thyroid or pituitary. There is a reason why this deficiency and pattern is occurring and fatigue is just a symptom of it all and not a disease in and of itself. This is why many of you come to see me because I go to the root cause of your fatigue. Saying magically that it is adrenal fatigue is a cop out to make it easier on the practitioner (then they can just give you some DHEA). But maybe it's thyroid fatigue, or ovarian fatigue, or pituitary fatigue (never heard of those? Me neither) but it still is just fatigue -- the actual cause of which needs to be carefully sussed out. So this "ADRENAL FATIGUE", in my experience, is really probably vitamin deficiencies caused by genetic issues -- all of which I have been preaching to you about for years. I did ten years of endocrinology research and never saw one case of "adrenal fatigue" (though I did see adrenal insufficiency caused by pituitary damage or adrenal damage or vitamin deficiencies). Hope this helps. Leave comments or questions below -- curious to hear your take.
