Please look at the above articles on GOOGLE and these are just from a simple search on "Do angioplasty or stents prolong life expectancy?"

Answer is no. Hundreds of study have shown this. NO.

I've talked to several cardiologists, and they all, EVERYONE, quietly told me they don't prolong life expectancy hough they can give temporary help and pin relief. Most explain this to patients but I don’t know if they hear it or understand.

Worse, stent insertion can give a false sense of help or hope. Ugh.

And they then tell me why they perform them -- you can guess the answer. And sometimes it is to give temporary pain relief and to buy time util surgery. And then they shrug "Oh well..."
