Understand the connection

Persistent pain, fatigue, and brain fog can arise from many conditions. Immune signals such as TNF-alpha and IL-6 are relevant to some inflammatory illnesses, but symptoms alone cannot identify the cause.

Follow the pathway

Dr. Purser explains the relationship between cytokine signaling and oxidative stress. He distinguishes targeted therapies that act on a specific immune pathway from glutathione, superoxide dismutase, and catalase, which have different antioxidant functions.

Bring these questions to your visit

Ask whether a rheumatology or immunology evaluation is appropriate and which findings support the suspected condition. Discuss medicines, nutrition, sleep, and practical access to care together; antioxidant support should not delay evaluation of severe inflammation.
