Understand the connection

Bone mineral is built largely from calcium and phosphorus, while magnesium and other nutrients help regulate the processes that maintain bone. Bone strength also depends on its protein framework.

Follow the pathway

Dr. Purser discusses magnesium, zinc, copper, boron, and manganese alongside calcium and vitamin D. These nutrients have different roles in mineral handling, enzyme activity, and collagen structure; correcting a documented gap is different from taking every nutrient in high amounts.

Bring these questions to your visit

Ask how diet, absorption, medicines, hormone status, and bone-density testing fit together. A bone-health plan should consider fracture risk and established osteoporosis care as well as nutrition.
