Why do we use the varss triad? That's glutathione, catalase, and superoxide dismutase. These three amazing antioxidants together. But why do we need to use all three of them? What's really cool with sod and catalase? These are the frontline defense against superoxide radicals within your cells, especially in the mitochondria of your
cells. Every time we make ATP, when a carbohydrate goes through the process to make energy, ATP currency of our cells, we produce oxidants as a byproduct of that. We make ATP, we make water and oxygen. But sometimes some of those oxygen molecules are supercharged. They become super oxides. So our body uses
enzymes called super oxide dismutace to stabilize. What it does is turn super oxides into hydrogen peroxide. But then you start to get a buildup of more and more hydrogen peroxide.
