PEMT, choline, and phosphatidylcholine: separate the questions

Dr. Purser’s teaching

Understand the connection

PEMT participates in phosphatidylcholine production. Choline, phosphatidylcholine, and phosphatidylserine are related to cell-membrane and metabolic discussions but are different substances.

Follow the pathway

Dr. Purser connects PEMT, folate-related methylation, the liver, and choline availability. He discusses product forms such as Optimal PC and phosphatidylcholine alongside the separate questions of antioxidant support, protein and mineral nutrition, and hormone care. A genetic susceptibility does not prove that the liver is failing or that a nutrient is deficient.

Bring these questions to your visit

Ask how liver tests, diet, medicines, and the exact genetic finding affect the discussion. Use your own confirmed findings to choose relevant lessons, and review any supplement or hormone change with your clinician.
